Enterprise youth completed 402 paid internships this summer! Youth gained direct work experience in a range of settings. Some youth worked at the UCSF Dyslexia Center, while others learned financial services skills at First Republic Bank. Meanwhile, other youth learned about running a small business while working for Jade Chocolates, Little Baobab, or other local entrepreneurs. We launched our Climate Career Corps with 236 youth learning about our vital and fragile ecosystem in partnership with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, San Francisco Recreation and Parks, and a portfolio of green businesses.

In total, youth earned $716,000 this summer! (And, the year is not over.) These dollars represent the hard work and learning that our interns achieved through Enterprise programming, and we are proud to support them financially while we help them turn their professional dreams into reality.

Enterprise offers a multi-year program where youth hone their professional skills and explore career pathways over the course of several years. 171 of our interns were returning for a second, third, or fourth Enterprise internship experience. 

Among those returning alumni, twenty-eight were working as Enterprise Program Assistants supporting other interns while continuing to expand their own leadership and management expertise. Three Enterprise alumni joined our staff this summer, and one alumnus is serving on a committee of our Board of Directors.
