Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, California, Luz was a part of the Migrant Educational Program as a public school student. Focusing her career in education, she is experienced with recruitment, partnerships, and event planning. Luz is passionate about all things education, equity, travel, and culture. She is committed to empowering youth to feel supported and guided in career and professional development. She loves traveling, coffee, reading, and attending local events.
Nínive Calegari

Nínive Calegari provides oversight for all programs. Nínive is a veteran classroom teacher who taught in many places, including in SF’s first charter school and in Mexico. Nínive is Mexican-American and grew up in San Francisco in a bicultural/bilingual family. As co-founder of 826 Valencia, Nínive built a national network of youth-serving literacy organizations; she also founded and led The Teacher Salary Project. As director of the Brave New Voices Initiative, she worked to unify international spoken word nonprofits and support their organizational capacity. She has a graduate degree in Teaching & Curriculum from Harvard and holds an honorary doctorate in humane letters from USF Graduate School of Education.

Lori is a longtime San Francisco resident, previous flower shop owner, and mother of two adult children. She is bi-cultural, a bilingual Spanish speaker and passionate about equality for all—beginning with education. She spent the last year volunteering at local non-profits, dedicated to Covid-19 relief and asylum-seekers. When Lori is not working you can find her walking her dog, Penny, taking in the scenery along Ocean Beach.

Lauren was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York before finding herself in the Bay Area. A proud product of public schooling from K through college, Lauren graduated with her bachelors degrees in Human Development and English from the State University of New York at Binghamton before going on to work in school-based operations at several public charter schools in New York City focused on closing the achievement gap for traditionally underserved local communities. Her work is informed by a strong belief in the value of experiential learning and the desire to bridge gaps between theory and practice. She enjoys creating sustainable systems and solving logistical puzzles to enable her team’s, and ultimately the youth’s, success. She is passionate about advancing educational opportunities and racial diversity and equity. In her free time, Lauren loves to dance, plan road trips, and play with her two calico cats.
Guadalupe (Lupe) Peña

Lupe was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and was raised in San Francisco, California. She became the first in her family to graduate from College with a B.A. in Public Health from Mills College at Northeastern University. She has a passion for eliminating the multiple barriers that underserved communities continue to face by being an advocate for her community. Lupe joined the Enterprise For Youth program as a junior in high school where she then participated in multiple internships. Now she is helping our San Francisco youth have the same opportunity and support, as she did, by helping Enterprise in providing our under-resourced youth with more accessible and equal opportunities to work experiences, professional skills, networking, and individual growth. In her free time and in the company of her family Lupe enjoys passing time in nature on warm days and watching movies with hot chocolate on cold days.

Peter is a Bay Area native who grew up in Marin County. Before joining Enterprise for Youth, he worked at several other youth-based organizations focusing on fitness and health throughout the Bay Area. Peter is passionate about youth development and hopes to continue working with America’s young people. Besides from work, he enjoys reading, writing, and staying as active as possible.

Josh is a third-generation Filipino American, Bay Area Native. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Urban Studies/Affairs and a minor in Sustainable Cities. His undergraduate research focused on urban farming methods, food sovereignty, agriculture technology, and zero-waste principles. After graduating, he worked in agriculture tech and attained certifications in Renewable Energy & Green Building Entrepreneurship, and Project Management. After work, Josh enjoys watching Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers games, visiting his favorite “foodie” eateries, and collecting rare sneakers. He hopes to contribute to and educate the community about sustainable food systems and practices to become a “sustainability champion” of the Bay Area.

Bonnie is a Los Angeles native who found herself visiting the Bay Area so often that one day she decided to stay longer than just a weekend. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in Political Science and most recently worked on the Development team at Le Lycee Francais de San Francisco. Bonnie finds her motivation working in Development as someone who has always been inspired by the power of interpersonal relationships and the difference impactful connections can make. She enjoys spending her free time baking sweet treats for her family and friends, as well as volunteering at various reproductive health justice organizations.

Alex is a passionate marketer hailing from Boston who has focused her career on spreading more positive messages into the world. Prior to joining Enterprise, Alex was the social media voice for the Balance Meditation app and Elevate Brain Training app. She crafted daily mental health posts, planned larger social media campaigns, and ran monthly Instagram Live events for 174k followers. Alex is excited to use what she’s learned and make a positive difference by supporting Enterprise. In her free time, she loves improv, ceramics, and cuddles with her puppy, Otis.

A Bay Area native, Margan started her career in the art world, primarily in fundraising, sales, and marketing roles. Margan joined Enterprise for Youth as the Marketing & Events Manager for The San Francisco Fall Show, a major international art and antiques fair. Prior to Enterprise, Margan was responsible for marketing at Jenkins Johnson Gallery, where she secured press articles, planned gallery openings, and organized a 5-person panel discussion on women in the arts. She also served a local nonprofit as the President of the Board of Directors, and helped plan their annual fundraising auction for 3 years. Margan enjoys traveling, dancing, and spending time with her young son.

Alexandra Quinn is a nonprofit development professional, specializing in institutional giving for organizations in the arts, education and youth development. She has worked in arts and education administration in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years. While working in the communications department at the de Young Museum, she established the first press programs for high school journalists and encouraged access to all student media outlets. Alexandra has also served as education curator at the Sonoma County Museum and founding program coordinator of The Oxbow School in Napa. She is co-author, with master builder Paul Discoe, of Zen Architecture: The Building Process as Practice. Raised in San Francisco, Alexandra has been an active community volunteer serving on the boards of 826 Valencia, The Tin Man Fund, and Transparent Theater, and as a member of the Northern California chapter of ArtTable.

Meghan believes in working alongside youth to foster skills that will help them excel. Before Enterprise, Meghan worked with youth and children in a variety of settings ranging from a residential home for youth with social and emotional disorders to a Montessori classroom. One of her most prized experiences was volunteering with a peer sexuality education program through a national women’s health organization. She earned her MA in Sexuality Studies and her thesis analyzes a piece of education legislation. Meghan’s research expanded her understanding of how certain education policies disregard barriers that many youth face. Workforce development is one area where schools do not fully prepare youth. As she continues her work at Enterprise she hopes to create an engaging environment where young people discover and strengthen their skills and self-awareness. In her free time Meghan takes mini adventures in the Bay Area and taste tests local ice creameries.
Holly Schultz

Holly was born and raised in San Luis Obispo before moving to San Francisco 4 years ago. Holly graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University. As an undergraduate she served as an Americorps member, supporting mentorship programs and social emotional learning at SFUSD elementary schools. Holly is passionate about supporting marginalized youth to achieve their educational goals. Prior to joining Enterprise, Holly worked on the Family Preservation Program at Family Support Services. As a Program Associate, Holly hopes to bring her past experiences collaborating with students and families to strengthen and support the lives of young people. When she’s not working, you can find her baking in the kitchen, pretending she is a contestant on The Great British Bake Off.

Carlo was born and raised in San Francisco. He is a product of SFUSD, and a member of San Francisco’s first charter school’s first graduating class. He has worked as a Program Director at both local and national nonprofits, managing work with young people and the adults that serve them. His last four years were spent at MyPath overseeing curriculum design and training, program expansion and partnerships. This work led him to lead projects in 15 cities across the United States. When not at work, you can find him playing music throughout the Bay Area or at his print shop in Berkeley. He is excited to bring his knowledge and expertise in program development, strategic growth, and training to Enterprise.

Talia is a Los Angeles native living in the Bay Area. As a proud SF State alumni, she graduated with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Incarceration Justice Studies. As an undergraduate, she focused on educational equity in public schooling and the juvenile justice system. Since graduating, Talia has expanded her knowledge by studying herbal medicine, food justice/equity, and sustainable farming practices. Recently, she earned a certificate in applied agroecology and has recently interned at Alemany Farm in San Francisco. Talia’s professional background in K-8 education and non-profit development has brought her to Enterprise for Youth as a Program Associate, where she continues to foster her commitment to creating safe spaces for youth to develop their leadership skills and experiences. In her free time, you can find Talia cuddling up with her animal companions and a hot cup of tea.
