Welcome to our new board members!

Dear friends,

Enterprise for Youth is thrilled to be growing our Board of Directors with more inspiring talent. Please join me in welcoming Terrance Bei, Jay Jacobs, and Sean Skyllingstad to our family.

We are absolutely thrilled to have each of them. Each new board member brings his own special set of skills and attributes, and we cannot wait to see how they positively impact Enterprise for Youth.

Terrance Bei

Terrance graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After college, Terrance focused his efforts on investments in vertical software and tech-enabled services businesses at Serent Capital. He also worked at McKinsey & Company serving global technology companies, healthcare organizations, and leading private equity firms across areas such as market due diligence, operations, growth strategy, and marketing & sales. A Senior Associate at Banneker Partners, Terrance focuses on evaluating investment opportunities and providing operational support to Banneker’s portfolio companies.

Terrance is a co-founder of a mobile gaming startup. He is especially eager to grow our internship site opportunities and is currently a board member and co-chair of Enterprise for Youth?s Young Professionals Group (YPG).

Jay Jacobs

Jay holds degrees from Macalester College, Harvard, UC Berkeley, and Columbia University. He is currently the Director of Industrial and International Business at Basic American Foods, and formerly served as the Director of their Corporate Products division.

Jay is the founder and served as the Executive Director of Summer Search Boston. After moving to the Bay Area, he dedicated eight years of service as CEO to Summer Search nationally.

Jay serves on the boards of the Bothin Foundation, the Foundation for Teaching Economics, and he was recently the co-chair of the Marin Country Day School, a member of the Board of Trustees of the prestigious National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and a longtime supporter of 826 Valencia/826 National.

Jay?s many years of experience working with nonprofits has left him especially skilled at program management, organizational capacity, and fundraising. He lives with his wife (a physician) and two sons.

Sean Skyllingstad

Sean graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Mechanical Engineering degree, but quickly transitioned into a management consultant role. His passion for skiing and need for a creative outlet landed him a spot on Liftopia’s Marketing Team as a Performance Marketer. Diving head first into the field, he quickly became immersed in pay-per-click marketing’s mix of complex data analysis and the creative necessity of marketing.

While at Liftopia, he has managed to migrate all search engine marketing efforts from an agency to in-house, as well as implemented a wide breadth of account upgrades. He continues to execute digital marketing strategies to maximize Liftopia?s search marketing presence.

Sean is the founder of his own eco-friendly apparel company. Sean is especially eager to support Enterprise’s communications efforts and is a board member and co-chair of Enterprise for Youth?s Young Professionals Group (YPG).

Please join us at Private Collections on April 4th so that you can meet these fantastic additions to our Board of Directors.

Yours warmly,

Ninive Calegari
