Dear Enterprise Community,

I am honored to be the President of the Board of Directors for Enterprise for Youth. Our mission is to place young people in life-changing immersive work experiences. And, we are deeply proud to pay them as they learn about themselves and the world of work. 

Our vision is to maximize young people’s potential so they become the contributing professionals we are thrilled to witness them become.

This past summer youth have worked as interns in many fields including healthcare, retail, climate, arts, professional services, and with small and medium-sized businesses. The staff and youth have together succeeded in exceeding our 2023 goals. We offered 445 internships this summer and are on track to surpass our goal of 500 internships total for the year. 

The youth who come to Enterprise are resourceful, multi-lingual, tech natives; and they are determined to make a big difference for their own futures, their families, and our community. 

I have seen how powerful our program is – Enterprise internships teach youth transferable skills and offer them powerful stories to share with college admissions teams. These work experiences invite youth to truly imagine their dream jobs while they are creating the paths to achieve those dreams. Our talented staff does all the training, employment onboarding, ongoing workshops, and job coaching. It’s because of this love and care that we enjoyed a 98 percent internship completion rate this summer.

I am writing today to ask you to join me, along with the board and staff, to help us achieve our financial goals. Thank you for giving what you can to fuel this beautiful, light-filled organization.
